OUR STORY
Taste of Africa aims to produce a top quality range of meats and sausages that promise to contribute to memorabale moments around your barbeque. The team has worked together for more than a decade and applies their expertise to entertain you to the best of our proud South African barbeque traditions.
Taste of Africa was born out of a hobby. Over time it slowly turned into a solid knowledge base and now also into a full time business.
The key ingredient is our passion to produce quality. From biltong, droëwors to ChilliBites, marinated chicken sosaties to russians, delicious pork sosaties to multiple flavours of boerewors to steak and marinated minute steaks, we've got all you need to keep your man cooking and to WOW your guests!
We have decided to add a few other ingredients to the mix, we believe, will make us stand out from the crowd. Quite a few of our products are well suited to be included into gift baskets for special occasions. Top it up with a special imported gift from our range to put an authentic smile on somebody special's face!
You can also entertain that special person over a cup of boeretroos in our shop, strong Vesuvius coffee for the more developed palate and enhance your experience with a traditional plaited, sweet koeksister.
We also stock a selection of African groceries, including some fabulous basting sauces and marinades.
Talking about rugby. Some games we might win and some games we might lose, but the truth is that the biltong will always stay. Long after the end whistle has blown and all the debates have seized, the lingering smell of barbequed meat, grilled to perfection, always leads to the hope that the next game will be the big one and to the knowledge that friendships which have been formed around a barbeque fire, will endure for ever.

BoereworsOur Boerewors is made from minced beef, balanced with lamb, flavoured with our own special blend of spices and traditionally formed into a continuous spiral. Boerewors is often served with pap which is a traditional South African porridge made from mielie-meal (maize meal) and covered with a tangy tomato and onion sauce. We make a range of boerewors flavours, come try them all! | BiltongBiltong is a 400-year old traditional South African beef snack, cured in a unique and highly nutritious way.
